Mini Photo Transfer on wood by Patrick Lajoie.

With the look and dimensions of a vintage panoramic postcard these look great on their own or in a group. Mix and match from my large selection of rectangle and circle minis. Prop them just about anywhere or hang with finishing nails.

I make these with the same image transfer method I use on my larger transfer works. The process is done by hand and results in the pigments from an archival print being transferred directly onto the wood. The charm of this technique is not only that the wood grain subtly shows through the paler areas of color, but also that the slight 'imperfections' which are a natural result of the process give the image a nice slightly distressed or vintage look.

Measures 3.5" x 8" (8.75cm x 20cm) by 1/2" (125mm) thick.

Made on a birch plywood block, titled and signed on the back.

Small holes drilled in the back allow for easy hanging with finishing nails.

All  images are my own original photographs and are created using Epson Ultrachrome Archival Pigment inks, tested to last a lifetime.

Handmade in my studio workshop in Caledon, Ontario, Canada.
